The Tribal Advocacy Council on Energy (TACE), in partnership with Native Sun Community Power Development, invites your organization to sponsor the 2nd Annual Tribal Energy Forum taking place October 8–9, 2026, at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel in Morton, Minnesota, hosted by the Lower Sioux Indian Community.

 

TACE is a Tribal-led entity focused on advancing energy sovereignty, coordination, and long-term energy planning among Tribal Nations in Minnesota. Native Sun is supporting the forum through planning, fiscal, and administrative coordination.

 

The Tribal Energy Forum brings together Tribal leaders, utilities, state and federal agencies, colleges, clean energy partners, nonprofits, and community organizations to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and support sustainable energy development in Native communities.

 

Last year’s forum brought together more than 150 attendees for two days of learning, project sharing, cultural grounding, and relationship-building. 

 

This year’s forum will continue that momentum.  Representatives from 10 Tribal Nations in Minnesota are expected to participate, along with utilities, colleges, agencies, nonprofits, clean energy developers, transportation leaders, solar technology demonstrators, and community partners working at the intersection of Tribal sovereignty and energy infrastructure.

 

Topics may include Tribal energy planning, utility coordination, clean energy infrastructure, grid readiness, transportation electrification, workforce development, climate resilience, community-based energy solutions, and more.
